What is this giant seed pod?

I picked up this giant seed pod walking to the mailbox this afternoon, and I don't know what it is. Do any of you guys know?

The "skin" on it feels like dried leather and it has seeds inside of it....

It's a lucky bean pod. Take seeds out n carry them in your pocket. Guaranteed you'll see more deer.

Really I think it's from a Locust tree.

Never mind. Okie 4570 is right. But seeds are still lucky.
