What kind of snake is this? (In garage)

Not scared of them. If I see one in the road (alive), I'll pull over, see what kind it is and herd it to the other side so some dimwit doesn't swerve to hit it. We had hognose and garter snakes as pets when I was a kid.

But I wouldn't want a poisonous snake hanging around my house since I have a dog (more so if I had kids).

I also hope the OP hasn't been eaten by that Anaconda.

Not that I disagree about killing it, if it is a venomous snake. However there were several that seemed to have the attitude of yep its a snake kill it. Sure couldn't tell what kind it is.

All snakes must die. It would already be dead if seen at my house and I would be already repairing the wall I shot up too.........But hey, thats just me, Im a sissy about snakes and Im not afraid to admit it.

Definitely not a copperhead. Several snakes have the same basic color pattern as yours. If the scales were rough and dull, probably a Bull Snake. If smooth and shiny, then it could be a TX Rat Snake or a Prairie King Snake.

check out the head for positive ID.
for me if it looks like it MIGHT be a copper head then I fill him full of birdshot and find out after.

Ive lways believed snakes have a purpose....target practice mostly.
A Friend of mine took me snake huntin a couple times..(hes always talkin me into crap like this)
Most of the time they just want to be left alone and to leave...Im OK with that now!
Now he's wanting me to go noodling with him... ;! I told him I would be on the bank with the 12g.
Im surgical with that Biotch...LOL
Ill probably go when it cools off.. ....but ill still keep the Biotch on the shore.
