What time do you guys like to be set up in the deer stand for evening hunting?
I was in the stand at 1500 hrs tonight, and didn't see anything until 1600, BUT!
Its the rut. Get in your stand as early as you can in the am and if possible stay in it all day. Take a book, Kindle, or whatever to pass the time. My two biggest bucks were taken mid afternoon while cruising.

In an ideal situation, I'd like to just pack a lunch, a book, some gatorade, plenty of snuff, a fully charged smart phone, and just sit all day long. Big bucks to be had 10-2.
I like to be up be 2 at the latest, many times 1 and I will sit from daylight to dark during prime rut time.
i usually get in the stand about 4.
