What to do if carrying, but will be going to a CCW prohibited place?

I was doing a little reading tonight about which states acknowledge OK SDA license and started reading more into Tribal land being prohibited areas.

If I am going to a place where I am prohibited to carry on my person, I will put the firearm in console or glove box BEFORE getting onto campus or such and its no big deal.

My question is...how would you guys handle a family vacation where you are carrying and you have to travel through Tribal land? Do you just pull over and unload the firearm and place it out of arms reach?

Our last road trip up to colorado then back through Arizona and New Mexico...I did not realize how many different tribal lands there are in these states! I did not have my SDA license at the time, but it would have been like musical chairs!

so long as you do nothing wrong or draw attention to yourself I wouldn't necessarily worry too heavily about it when traveling through a smaller area necessarily. I would avoid breaking any laws, but you are gonna do what you need to.
