The government heard you had a few dollars left after a paycheck, they wanted those dollars.
I miss my chickens so much. We did have to buy eggs in winter as laying is light dependent and we were up north. You can supplement light, but it is harder on your birds. I also mis the garbage disposal aspect for food scraps and the free fertilizer. The nitrogen they produce is worth more than eggs at the retail level.Sams has them at 6.00 for 18. We got chickens a while ago. Never buy another egg again and they're fun as heck to watch.
If you decide you want to go again I should have some nice Australorp chicks in the tail end of February. You're welcome to them. The rules for Edmond are pretty lax so getting a permit is no problem.I miss my chickens so much. We did have to buy eggs in winter as laying is light dependent and we were up north. Australorps are the BEST breed. I had one named Blackula that laid for a decade, and every one I have owned had a great disposition. Unfortunately I'm in a HOA.If you decide you want to go again I should have some nice Australorp chicks in the tail end of February. You're welcome to them. Sam's Club at 15th and I-35 was completely out of eggs yesterday. Walmart next door had plenty though. It was weird.Deciding that we wanted breakfast for supper last night and were getting low on eggs and a few other things we went to Walmart yesterday afternoon and eggs were $7.27 per dozen.......these weren't fancy organic or free range eggs, just plain ol' eggs.
What's going on with the price of eggs ?
Robot or human?
