In public, I wouldn't show anyone my gun. (unless I was selling it).
I understand what you're saying, but it's completely up to you what you do.
Illegal or not...

I wouldn't risk it personally, I like the fact that the person sitting 5 feet from me while I type this has no idea about the S&W bodyguard in my pocket. ::::oops, publicly announced::::

Not to sound like the tin-foil hat guy...but you CAN'T trust anyone.

Ok lets say you're best friend walks in your office and the door is closed. You've just purchased that new bodyguard. Is it illegal to show it to him behind a closed door in your office?

If it is private property it is not illegal. Many times at certain stores I have been looking for a holster and with the sales clerk there, who asked if I had the gun on me, taken it out and unloaded it...then tried it in the holster. If I am at a friends house and we are talking about it and they want to see it, I whip it out...Unload it and hand it to them locked back.

It depends if you are in public or private. I see no legal or ethical problem with showing that you're carrying when inside a private building. I showed off my gun and holster to a group of about 10 people the other evening.

(It happened to be my family, inside a house)

Private property behind closed doors. I would only show it for people close to you that know you. What's the point of carrying concealed if you're showing it to strangers? If you bought a new 1911 and want to show it off to your buds, have them come by the house or the range.

If you do it out in public, with people you don't know close around, you're just asking to have the cops called on you and/or your CCL revoked.

Went to a bithday party awhile back.
All the women were in the living room yaky-yakin,
all the kids were in the backyard playing
and all the guys were in the garage comparing guns and holsters.
I felt left out cause I left mine home.
Wife didn't want me wearing it to a 2 year olds BD party.

What about the range. Do you never draw from concealed on a public range like WMAs? I mean if someone were to have done that, would that be illegal?

Parts of this post just creep me out......:ooh2:

, it is not to be exposed. However, when, where, and how many people can there be, until it's not ok. For instance:
1) Bathrooms with a few friends?
2) Side room with closed door with just you and a friend.
3) Vacant hallways
4) Parking Lots when "No one is looking"
Picture you and some friends in a room with 15 people.
Is it acceptable to show them and by this I mean just exposing it? Keep in mind there are 10 or more people in this room in the background? Just food for thought, I'm wondering if I'm alone.
