When is it scariest to drive where you are?

For me, it's when the bars close, it's socked in with fog, and there is a power outage. It's not so bad after a half hour or so when all the drunks have run off the road or piled up into a pole or tree.

I’m thinking Oklahoma on this map is influenced by Tinker. When all those gubermint workers get off they’re ready to get home.

It is also when schools let out and the kids are driving home via the Sonic, bowling alley, Stop-N-Rob, the local lake in town and the liquor store for the parents.

Out here I pay extra attention from dusk on because of suicidal deer and there’s a rancher who has trouble keeping his angus cattle in his pastures. Last year a dude on a motorcycle found one of those cows the hard way.

I live on a rural highway that as a kid was typically abandoned at night. Now it’s busy all hours of the day.
I think probably a good part of the problem today is there’s so many more people crowding the roads.

Yep. I don't think there is a time, day or night, that this area isn't covered up with drivers but morning and evening rush hours are brutal. And when school is in it gets even worse. The 3pm thing is real over here -- I've got a high school in front of me, a middle school to my right and a couple of grade schools behind me. It's NUTS ...

You just have to wonder where all those people are going between 3:00-3:59. I always ask myself, shouldn't these people be at work?

A lot of folks work the 7am to 3pm shift. I used to. Usually at 2:59pm there was a stampede of ********* rushing out the door and at 3:00pm there was a lot of tire squealing departing the parking lot.

Not all, but a lot of businesses that run 24 hours have 3 shifts arranged, 7am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm, and 11pm to 7am. Then there may be a rotating shift or rotating shift workers who work by rotating though to cover those on vacation, sick, jury duty, etc etc etc.
