My air compressor has died.........Not sure on which one to get. I'm looking for a 30 gallon portable air compressor. What are your experiences. Which brand to stay away from....etc....I know there are a mix of opinions. I'm looking more for what ones are crap.

My take after owning a 33 gallon oilless. Buy more than you think you need, I stepped up to a 60 gallon a find I use it way more now that I have the capacity. I still have a 1.5 gallon portable if I need to take one somewhere.

What happened to your old one? Almost anything can be repaired unless the tank is shot.

hard to explain.......The metal tube that comes from the tank where the air hoses attach completely broke off. I can take a pic and post it. The compressor was given to me. Not sure of the brand.

I myself run a Eaton. I think it will outlast me and my children. My dad has a roll around Craftsman about the size your talking about. Its extremely loud. Works but very annoying.

I bet it could be repaired. Take a pic for us!

One of the better portables are the newer oil sump models that have a big bore and turn slower. They are MUCH quieter. I think Makita makes a good one. We have one at the office that is a Coleman that should be cheaper and be in the same cfm and Db

That should be a pipe nipple, easy to remove the remnants and replace, as Ty indicated, take a pic for us, between the two of us we can probably get you fixed up.

What they said. That can be fixed. However, to answer your question, I have a twin cylinder puma 60 gallon and its considerably louder tha my dads 60 gallon industrial air. It was prabably half the cost. I guess you get what you pay for.
