If it weren't for the information technology we have today, just imagine all the stuff they could sneak past the citizens of the US.

You mean like they snuck the Federal Gun Free School Zones Act past us twice... once in 1990 and once in 1995. A law which makes unlicensed carry a federal felony in all populated areas... and effectively nullifies all CCW reciprocity agreements. Yes, it's a federal felony for an Oklahoma permit holder to carry in any of the 40+ States that recognize their CCW permit.
