Question. What is the theory/science behind a herd is most healthy if it has a 1 to 1 buck/doe ratio?

Question. What is the theory/science behind a herd is most healthy if it has a 1 to 1 buck/doe ratio?

It helps for does to be bred in November instead of being bred in December and January because not enough bucks to get the job done. Like the other post, a doe bred a month or 2 later equals a fawn that is born a month or 2 later.
