Sheriff's office says I can pick mine up tomorrow morning. That will make 88 days.

'Course, I had to be reprinted about a month ago. BOTH sets, original and reprint, were done electronically.

62 days and still waiting. No news is good news right? Also, did I hear they were going to make it so it would be 60 days for renewals or was that just someone blowing smoke?

Mine came in while I was out of town. I guess the 62 days was a false post. It was around the 62-65 day mark I guess. In any case, much better than 90 or more. Good luck to all of you who are still waiting.

115 days? My SDA book says 90 days. You may want to call your Sherriff's Dept and check up on it.

90 days for the OSBI to issue or deny the license. Time you factor in the max transit time for the sheriff's office to mail it to them, it's about 104 days.

I was under the impression for the longest myself that 90 days was the max time total for the license to be back to the sheriff's office, but this was, in retrospect, and optimistic reading not really supported by the actual language of the statute.

I personally believe the statutes should be amended so turn-around time on licenses is quicker, and the 120 day message on the automated line for the SDA division in the OSBI does seem to exceed the above figures. There's more than one other state that can turn around licenses routinely in under a month, sometimes less than a week. That said, I've been seeing more and more individuals posting that turn-around times on their licenses are in the 60-day range.

My wife and I submitted our apps to the OK county sheriff's office on July 7th. One charge showed up on the credit card on the 14th, the other on the 28th. Makes me wonder what made them get separated by 2 weeks. Guess I'll be happy if we're both packin' by October.

I'm going on vacation the first week of October, so I'm hoping and praying that mine comes before then, otherwise, no carrying on vacation! 60 days for me will be mid September, and 90 days will be Mid October.
