Born in Walnut Creek
I was born and raised in Newport Beach. Spend three years in Stillwater and moved back after graduation. Then, girlfriend (now wifey) graduated a year later and move to Newport with me. She's from Sapulpa so we visit her family a lot. I'd love to move back and our 9 year old is always asking to move back but our careers don't allow such a change at this point. One of these days it will happen.
Have anti gun family there that comes here to Edmond during Christmas. It ends in myself not talking to them during Christmas because they think I'm nuts for carrying a pistol for SD!
Freedom scares people.
Opposite for me. My far far to the left sibs all live in California since we were all born there- older sis is in Huntington Beach, older bro is in Monterey, and older sis is in San Francisco. The week after Christmas we all converge at the same northern California skii resort that we have been to almost every year since we were kids. We have come to the point tho, finally, in our lives as adults all with children of our own where we all just try not to rock the boat any more on almost any subject. We know each others politics and spirituality stances and we just dont get into it any more. Being the youngest I naturally get left alone and in turn I try not to razz anybody else. We ski, we over eat and over drink, we laugh and play games, and in a week we get the hell away from each other for a few months.
I almost got my wife to toss lunch last time we were out there. I was tearing ass around the corners from Muer beach headed north on highway 1 towards Bodega. She was having fun and terrified at the same time.
I was all grins.
Any of you guys remember "Round Table Pizza "? Some of the best chain restaurant pizza I ever had.
