I just had some renters move out of a rent house and it was dirty and has A LOT of roaches. Has anyone had any results getting rid of them?

clean up any food and water, then use boric acid, it is mild and you put it behind cabinets and stuff. They walk through it and when they clean themselves, it kills them. works good and you don't have to use a bunch of chemicals. I FRIGGIN HATE ROACHES

Stayed in a rental house while waiting for our current house to close, about 12 yrs ago. Had roaches everywhere. We used the boric acid powder everywhere and roaches were gone within 2 weeks. Used to get it as "Roach Pruf" in a big yellow can. Saw it recently at Lowes in a big squirt bottle labeled as Ortho, Black Flag or one of the common pesticide brands.

The trick is to apply it everywhere the roaches go. Behind every appliance, between furniture and walls, inside the frames of cabinets, crawl spaces, every friggin' where.

Best product we've ever used is Bengal; living in Houston for years exposed us to some very large and nasty ones; Bengal is by far the best product out there

natgas is right. Bengal is the consumer nuclear weapon for getting rid of roaches. UnSafe is right too. If you can't find Bengal go to your local Walmart and pick up a box of 20 Mule Team Borax and dust the whole house with it. It works like magic. Takes care of ants too. A big plus for borax is that it's harmless to people and pets. Give it several days to work it's magic.

Not quite true. Borax is not acutely toxic to humans or animals, but the dust form can still cause respiratory and skin irritation, and gastric issues including diarrhea, and it's recently been classified by the EPA as a potential developmental toxin. Use with caution and common sense.
