Who's had good results getting rid of roaches?

Thanks for everyones advice. I'm still in the process of getting everything out of the house and then I'll do something about the roaches. The house has a crawl space, do I need to do anything with that or the attic?

the 20 Mule Team Borax which you could find in the detergent aisle at walmart is a proven method. I didnt have roaches but my dog did have fleas and it vanquished every one of them.

We left for the weekend and we sprinkled it generously throughout the carpet and vaccumed it up when we got back. We reclaimed the house from fleas that easily, Im sure it will take of roaches the same.
