Still haven’t started on the 11-48. To many projects in the way!
I need to strip the old blue off. Any recommendations for a product?
Can't begin to count how many but we always used Naval Jelly purchased from Ace Hardware to strip the bluing off guns prior to prepping them for a hot tank reblue.

I too have used Naval Jelly in the past with great results. I have several black powder rifles and a couple pistols I’ve picked up through the years that I could be working on but been so busy they just sit there and get looked at. I have also been collecting parts and stuff to build a 6mm ARC AR and have all but a lower so that will be going together soon, then prepped for paint.

Time is a commodity that sends to be running out way too fast as I get older. I rent been beer a time when I would get all projects done, and live along with doing it. These days I just like waking up and living🙂

Someone had used a chemical on the receiver that would not allow a blue to work. It came out a mottled gray/brown. Actually looks kinda cool. I tried three times and it just kept getting worse. I decided to leave it.
