The worst kind of problem.

The guns I want I either:
1) Cannot get my hands on because they are apparently made of unobtanium, or
2) Cannot afford the price because they are perceived to be made of the same element. or,
3) Cannot find ammo for it anyway.

Congress needs to act now to address this shortage of effective self defense tools!

Well, unfortunately, it seems as though most people are getting like the kids today. Can't work or wait for anything. A recent example. I have seen a Sig M400 for sale in our own classifieds. I won't mention any names or prices, you guys will figure it out anyway. The price they are asking is quite a bit more than the slightly sub 900 bucks that I can buy it from Walmart for. At least the one from Walmart has a cheapy scope. For the price of the one in classifieds, I'd expect a case of ammo and a Leupold M4 scope on it. that's just me. Understand that's just me, people are free to ask what they want for their product.

Now, my point is that, anyone willing to keep checking in with Walmart will end up with one. the same goes for going to the other stores. Keep checking in and you'll get what you want for the price you want to pay. I've seen the items in stock for way less than they are going on gun broker and such. I've also seen 80 percent lowers for literally one dollar less than a complete lower can be purchased for. I've been picking up supplies for reloading here and there, so far finding everything I need. I'm just getting tired of everyone raising prices and feeding off of the fear of a ban that won't come. I've seen the dealers here say they won't raise prices, then mark stuff up substantially at the shows. Due to all the marking up here on our own board, my ignore list has become quite lengthy.

Still chaps my hyde that people are hoarding .22lr ammo. I mean come on, really?!?

They aren't hoarding it. There are a few who are buying it all up when they find it and selling it here. You can easily select whether you want to pay a slightly inflated price or a greatly inflated price. :pms2:
