He made it to 74 until cancer got him.

He was a navy vet, surface fleet when he first enlisted during vietnam, then volunteered for sub duty.

He was far from perfect, but he tried. At 55 I can say I have a greater appreciation for all he tried to do when we were growing up.

Anyways its just us 3 brothers now.

The folks at Ft Sill National Cematery are top notch, he joins our mother who was buried there 12 years ago. Also hats off to the Patriot Guard who were there early for another navy vets service, offered to set up some flags for us, couple good guys we met.
Your brother is one of my best friends, I’m sorry for your loss.

I buried my dad on Wednesday. He was only 63. I don’t think it would have been any easier if he had lived into his 80’s, but I wish he had. I’m sorry for your loss. I definitely understand. I wish neither of us knew what it’s like to bury a father. It sounds like you had a good one. I’ll say a prayer for you and your family.
