I don't have any issues with passive bigots. Everyone's entitled to believe as they wish, even if they're wrong. "I, personally, really truly believe this is a hate crime," said Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) in a joint interview with CBC Chairman Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) on CNN.

Now ... if someone were to shoot someone else and they are the same race then it might be self defence. But if a white guy shoots a black guy then it's a hate crime. The difference? The only difference is what is going on in the mind of the perp at the time of the offence. In other words, the perp's thoughts. Whether you care to admit it or not, we now have firmly accepted the idea of thought crimes in this country.

And so it goes ... toward complete thought control. The only question is how long it will take.
