I'm looking for a new recliner. Looking for a pretty good sized one. Anyone have any recommendations? My first thought is a Lazboy but I hear they are not what they used to be. I have a Lane and its been a POS. If you have had good luck with one or had a good buying experience let me know.

Something to watch out for.

We bought two Rocking rotating recliner at Mathisbrothers. One was fine but the other made a grinding noise and wouldn't rock. I figured out that the rocking frame slid off the rails and bent two brackets. When they put the rocker back on the rail's the brackets were still bent and made a really awful noise.

We had them pick it up and drop off a new one and it had the same problem, they took it back. I went and hand picked one out of a box that was perfect. It looked at two boxed the first one had bent brackets too, when they delivered it, it wasn't in the box and they hand it on the base and it slid off the rocker same problem as before. They figured they were going to fix it and leave it again. I made them take it back again. Must have happened in the truck.

We went to the store and picked it up our selves.

you can see its close the the edge but this one hasn't fell off, and that connector bracket is straight.

I have a new lazy boy and love it, the works are lifetime warranted.
Had to sit in about a dozen of them before finding the one that fit me perfectly...That was the trick because what I liked to sit on my wife hated and what she liked was like sitting in a worn out rocker for me.

Rooms Today was where I found mine.

If I had to guess, they were probably Chase - I have a similar problem and I won't ever buy a Chase product again.

And I know the GerbilBrothers really push Chase hardcore...

I've also heard Chase, Lane and La-Z-Boy aren't what they used to be. Of course... what IS these days??? :(

La-Z-Boy is the ONLY recliner to buy.

Not only do they have a lifetime warranty on the frame.

They also hold the patent and are the only recliner to independantly adjust the footrest, back and overall angle. This leads to pure comfort in whatever position you desire or require.

I have owned nothing else and never will. Currently have a pair with 10 motor massage and heat sitting in the living room.

I love my La-Z-Boy Big Man's recliner - it is REALLY big! I am 6'4" and have to kind of climb up into it. We have a matching La-Z-Boy couch here in the den that has recliners on both ends - looks nice but I don't like it because it is not comfortable to lie down on. My wife just got a smaller La-Z-Boy for the living room to rock grandbabies in and she loves it - our other stuff came from Mathis Brothers, but this chair came from another place that I think is operated by Mathis Brothers.
