I am amazed at what has happened to gun shows. I went to the one at the fair grounds today and what a loser of a show that turned out to be.

Prices are high and when you add the 12 dollar admission to it, it is even worse.

I did manage to find a holster and a knife...knife was a good deal, holster was over priced by a good bit but I really did want it.

Pretty small crowd.

I haven't been to one since earlier this year. Just too high an admission and most things are over priced.

I'll continue to purchase locally and online

Indeed, it was a sad show.

I've never been able to park so close to the front door.
Not many people there when I arrived at 1PM.
Lots of empty tables. Dream world prices.

I've been going to these for over 30 yrs. and have never seen it like this.
This was probably my last.

The last time I went, there no bargains to be had, nothing special plus a large cover charge. My stuff had little-to-no value, but their stuff was priced as premium, so the last show was my last show...

I got an awesome deal on a Walther P88. There were some very good deals out there, including one on a cherry Browning High Power. I may go back tomorrow and get it.

I agree the turnout was bad, But there were some deals to be had. I bought one rifle at a good price and sold 3 pistols. The dealers prices are only starting points or trade prices, Start talking cash and the prices will probably start coming down. I see items priced right here on OSA just as high as at the gunshows but they usually will be flexible on their prices. I believe the cover charge is a little high by a couple of bucks but it is not that bad.

wawawawawa everytime a show comes around everyone whines. Yet people who are looking for something other than a glock fowty or some other modern handgun manage to find good deals.

I haven't been since '09 I think. 10 bucks at the door and I didn't find any good prices on any firearms I liked. I bought a book and planned on not going back for quite some time. I guess most folks on this thread feel about the same way.
