No one has said the guy was a member of the Tea Party.
What has been said is that when politicians such as Bachman, Angle,
and yes Palin, speek of second ammendment solutions to political
problems, people will quite naturally see a conection when a nut
does a nuttty thing.
Political speech is and should be protected speech in this country.
A sane politician should have sense enough to draw a few lines for herself.

It was also stated that the Tea party is fueling hatred and violent feelings. Which leads me to believe that the persons making those statements somehow hold the Tea party and their supporters responsible for this man's actions.

I always use libtard as a descriptive term, anyway. You know, retarded liberal. Some may consider that redundant, but I don't consider all liberals to be retarded. Tea Bagger on the other hand is not usually a descriptive term, unless they are saying it really is a descriptive term and if so, then them's fightin' words.
