What lube would you use to coat it with? Should you vacuum seal it or would that seal in condensation? Place in dessicants, how many etc? Ammo should be good in ammo cans with a good seal? Thoughts?

Rem oil in arousal can and the same machine I use to vacuum seal my deer meat! ; ) Vacuum seal twice to make sure!

Why would you want to bury a rifle, just wondering? Ha

Btw academy sells a roll that should do 2 rifles, not that I have tried this by any means, just a thought...

Whatever you used to get your head up your a**

I didn't use a lube then, cause I am a big ahole... :D

Not that I would be burying guns, but if someone had extra, and wanted to put them in caches for a get out out town routes what would you use? Mosins are cheap, Makarovs are cheap, etc.

Also like not having all of the eggs in one basket. Not necessarily even burying, but staging at a BOL.

I'd bury it in a combination safe in my house personally...

BUT! If you're hell bent on giving it the deep six, then make sure you do it far enough down that ground penetrating RADAR and metal detectors can't spot it. Also stay away from trees and septic systems. Make sure to play taps on your kazoo and give it a 21 finger salute.

Seriously if I were going to bury one it would be well greased, sealed in airtight bags with lots of desiccants, and then sealed in sch 40 PVC pipe.
