Closing my eyes and guessing: Pakistani Taliban.
Why? Revenge for drone strikes.
Why haven't they claimed credit? Still trying to extract their operatives, they will once they have either been returned or killed or captured.

The one on the right in the top photo has supposedly been half-assedly identified as a Royal Saudi bodyguard on at least one of the conspiracy websites. The Saudi suspect that was deported is supposedly tied to the royal family - if so, that might explain a bodyguard nearby.

These are NOT the bombers.

Based on what I'm seeing, this looks like the work of a self-radicalized, homegrown, lone wolf type attacker sympathetic to AQ and company. We don't have a claim of responsibility because no organization knows for sure who actually did it or why, and the perp can't claim it without risking capture as a result. The bombing MO just fits. A pressure cooker gunpowder bomb is less dangerous to the builder than a pipe bomb, requires no lab equipment or special experience and it worked.

Is this straight off your Dept's memo?
