I'm very surprised this thread has gone off the deep end. I was expecting it to be locked up after Strom Thurmond made his final post a few pages back. Captain Christianity has taken over.
Anyone arguing how the government should define marriage is just arguing in favor if big government. Government benefits should be linked to households and not to who is making a commitment to live with who for the rest of their lives (or until they annoy each other too much) or on who is having sex with who.
