LOL, except that this is actually happening and quantifiable. Not some pseudo science, but the pole are shifting, as they have many tomes before. It is not an apocalyptic thing, other than it could knock out the power grid. pole shift does not mean mass extinctions.

Have you been outside? It is a good 50 degrees hotter than a mere 6 months ago!

I'm sorry but life without a/c is an E.L.E.

Life on Mars, Europa, Titan etc. isn't possible. I think it's wonderful that Mars has 70F summers and water locked up under the ground. But it has no Van Allen Belt, neither do the large moons of Jupiter or Saturn. Those places are radioactive wastes, swept by unrelenting solar wind. A burp or interruption in the Earth's magnetic field could allow several seconds of unimpeded solar wind to sweep the part of the planet receiving the bow shock of solar radiation. The radiation sickness would exceed that of Hiroshima survivors on a larger scale.

Is it weakening faster, or weakening faster than they thought. Big difference. I simple change or improvement in measuring technology/methods can result in higher accuracy and skew the curve.

Cool thing, science. The knowledge changes as new data becomes available. It isn't stuck in rigid dogma or opinion.

Yeah, except folks often use cherry picked aspects of science to promote their own dogma or opinion.

Is it weakening faster than before, or are we just not getting a handle on exactly how fast it changes?

Like climate change, it appears to be a completely normal event in the life of our planet so....

We are all gonna die ...

And for some of us it's gonna come sooner, rather than later ...

And for those of us for whom it comes later, we are gonna wish at some point in time it came sooner, because getting old ain't for the faint of heart ...

Still ... no matter how bad it gets, I suppose it's better than the alternative ... :(

I'll feel better when my headache eases up a bit ... :P Maybe ... At least I hope so for GC's sake ... :lookaroun
