Well, I know the saline flush and peroxide flush helped, but with a deep joint wound like that, they will have to get in there and clean that out while the dog is sedated. Oral antibiotics will be necessary, as well, I suspect. The Pit Bull went for the appendages. This is where the deep, gaping wounds are. When I got out there, he had the Shepherd by the throat. My wife said the Pit Bull walked into the yard, and our dog went up to him, and it appeared they were going to be friends, then the attack commenced.
This hole above the elbow joint goes into the bone.
I doubt my neighbors will offer to help pay for what their dog has done. It is OK with me. I know what I will do if the dog ever enters my yard again. This way, it won't bother me so much. Maybe, though, that gate I'm getting tomorrow will extend the life of their dog, and he can go elsewhere in his adventures.
Come on JB we need an update!
Good Lord, you've been a money-spending fool today ...
You heartless animal! LolNo kidding... personally, I wouldn't have gone to this much trouble. In my yard, both dogs would probably have ended up dead during the fight. One for safety, the other for mercy. Just me, though.
You heartless animal! Lol
