Shot the bowling pin match at Firearms Solutions in Duncan today.

Great time, great match.

If you are in Duncan, you should give these guys a look see
(just a bit past Haliburtion. Where the speed limit sign says "65" is where you turn.")

This was the last one for the year, but their next one will be in April.

Covered shooting area, plenty of seating for shooters and cheerleaders.

Good people run the place.

Wish I could have made it, but had to run take care of my dad in Lawton today. How did you and Billy score?

Shot OK.
I need more practice.
Had a couple of really good, fast strings.
Just not good or fast enough to get far enough up the chain.

For Next year's matches, they are going to run classes so that the "Pros from Dover" don't overruns us local yocals.

First of all,
I'm the big 50 today!
Happy Birthday, sir!

Shot OK. I need more practice.

The good Doctor is being humble...
If Dave got out & shot even a fraction of how much he wants to, the dude would be a serious contender.
He did very well, I thought, and got deep enough in that if the shooters were broken into separate classes, he may have been the proud owner of a pretty bowling pin!
I, on the other hand, sucked. Pretty darn disappointed in myself. My second attempt "at bat" wouldn't have been the worst if I had carried at least one more magazine to the line... I got smoked so hard on my first time up that I didn't even expect to get to do a mag change on my second go 'round.(I didn't on the first!) Naturally, I was wrong. Made decent time on the first four pins and absolutely choked on the fifth. Suxxors. Had to stand there with an empty gun and wait for the lady, (yes, lady) to finish me off in slo-mo......
The agony of defeat. Oh woe is me. Mistakes were made that shan't be repeated.

But, it was a fun experience and it was nice to hang out with and observe some really good shooters. Ol' Keith & family have done well for themselves and his passion for the shooting sports is shining through. The range is really cool and the store is looking better than ever.
Really glad I went and am looking forward to going again.

Never seen a pin shoot is this wiki fairly accurate as far as course fire? Thanks.
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bowling_pin_shooting

Take a look on their website: https://www.facebook.com/firearmssolutions

Firearms Solutions has a couple of good videos up showing the shoots.

Basically, the rules were:

5 pins at 15 yards.
60 second strings
8 rounds max per mag
No max on the number of mags you take to the line
First one to knock all pins OFF of the table wins.
If the 60 second bell sounds, there is a point system for pins knocked off and down.
Double elimination brackets.

Heck of a good time.
There were some pros and "semi pros" out there.
And a few wannabe pros

The rest of us stand around or sit around and shoot the bull more than the pins.
