So, who's still got a gun rack on their pickup?

Not sure they're illegal. Don't have one mainly because don't want to advertise there could be (is) gun inside.

My truck in college had a gun rack that held a rod/reel (zebco 33). Nobody bothered that for some reason.

Rifle was stored in the seat cover pocket. Don't have the truck, rack, or seat cover anymore, but I still have that old rifle :)

Most trucks these days don't have any good way to mount a rack in the window - the windows are glued in place without a decent reinforced metal channel around them like the older trucks had. I do have one installed behind the seats, though - mounted to the useless (to me) child seat restraints using j-hooks.

legal way to carry a gun in a vehicle without a license
- unloaded
1. in the open
2. in a gun case/box which is partially exposed
3. in a gun rack in the window
4. in a locked exterior compartment like a trunk or took box

with a handgun license, you can carry inside vehichle any way you want as far as i know.
