First of all,
The good Doctor is being humble...
If Dave got out & shot even a fraction of how much he wants to, the dude would be a serious contender.
He did very well, I thought, and got deep enough in that if the shooters were broken into separate classes, he may have been the proud owner of a pretty bowling pin!
I, on the other hand, sucked. Pretty darn disappointed in myself. My second attempt "at bat" wouldn't have been the worst if I had carried at least one more magazine to the line... I got smoked so hard on my first time up that I didn't even expect to get to do a mag change on my second go 'round.(I didn't on the first!) Naturally, I was wrong. Made decent time on the first four pins and absolutely choked on the fifth. Suxxors. Had to stand there with an empty gun and wait for the lady, (yes, lady) to finish me off in slo-mo......
The agony of defeat. Oh woe is me. Mistakes were made that shan't be repeated.

Well, thanks for the kind words.

The big difference was the fact that I had one attempt under my belt and tried to correct my mistakes.
Now you have that same advantage.
Couple of good targets and you'll be hitting 'em hard.

We really need to get a good convoy heading out there sometime.
Whether it is for the bowling pin matches or just a day at the range!
To those guys with Sunday Commitments.
I talked with them about a later start time.
Problem was, they tried that and the turn out was much smaller.

I'm thinking that there might be a way around that.
If some of us go out and register others and pay their entry fee, it would allow you folks more time.

Just a thought.

Hmmm, I'm off on that Sunday, so I might go out to watch and see what this is all about. It's highly doubtful that I'll be participating.
My attempting to go "Dirty Harry" on a bunch of bowling pins with my 44Mag would probably be a catastrophe and highly embarrassing. LOL

Aw, come on. It only cost something like 10 bucks to shoot.
There are a few guys who are really good out there, but the rest of us are just there to have a good time and shoot with friends.

If you do come and do use a revolver, make sure you have some speed loaders.
I've seen the pins come down in as few as 7 rounds, and other matches it takes into the 40s.

I'd say that some guys are competitive, but most of us are just regular schmoes having fun.
