My wife keeps telling me there is a meat shortage but my grocery bills ain't lightened up during this crisis. Shes got the fridge and freezer packed and we are still using Charmin from before March. All the money I saved by not eating out for last 2 months she is spending at store every chance she gets.

Cabelas Carnivore series meat grinders are really nice. I have a 1/2hp and use it for personal use and at deer camp for new youth hunters. We used it on 10 or 11 deer in 2019. It will grind as fast as you can feed it.
Second that! I have the 3/4 hp. Just about need a front end loader to pick it up, but it gets the job done.

This guy explains things pretty well. The middleman aka packer he speaks of is making $2,290 per head right now while consumers are paying more and producers and getting paid less.

Math seems wrong 2,290 per head for the meat packer.
You may get 400 lbs of meat off an animal.
400 lbs times 5 bucks a pound is $2000 bucks.
the Guy selling the cattle makes some money.
you would be paying 10 bucks a pound for beef ..surely it is not that much

A roll of TP lasts me 10 days for Charmin and Aldi brand lasted me over 21 days. Many more sheets on that Aldi roll
Not too hard to fathom that people are using the same package for a few months.
I crap 2 or 3 times a day also.. not like I am holding it in for a couple days.

No sir. It’s correct. I’ll try to find you some info to prove it. I’ve heard this same number from many sector’s of the cattle industry.
