Driving down the streets in OKC ......(REDACTED)....... the population of the entire state is about 4 million people.
How can all these shops and growing operations hope to stay open here? Maybe pot can grown cheaper here and sold in other states?

Earlier, there was a comparison to Oregon and how many permits they have given out... one thing to consider when researching this business venture is that Oregon mimics Oklahoma very closely in terms of area and population size, to include largest city sizes.

I've met a guy in NW OK that has 3-4 grow warehouses. Did some work for him, we connected pretty well due to our similar past industries. I wish I still had his number, I could use that job he offered me now, lol. He stated that he was making hundreds of thousands of dollars every dozen weeks or so. We're talking upper six figures. From what he was explaining, his operating costs were pretty high, but he was still making a killing. More money per year than I have ever seen. BUT, while the profit margins are pretty decent as stated before, I find the potential for big players pretty concerning. China working in the background and Altria just waiting to get in the ring mean tough times in the future. My .02? I wouldn't consider buying into a business, or starting my own, unless there's some sort of guaranteed money. Which is a rare bird. The Feds are bringing legalization back on the table very soon, and I wouldn't be surprised if our progressive friends push it in the next year or two if it fails this time as a bid to bandage their wounds from this last senate/house race. https://mjbizdaily.com/marijuana-advocates-eye-federal-legalization-after-2020-election/. With all that being said, if you think you can stomach the risk and make a big return in 1-2 years worth your investment? I fear that anything longer than that you'll run into resistance from big players.

Furthermore, what would you do with these stacks of literal cash you would receive from the business? When I'm thinking of this stuff I run into walls with that idea. Can't really drop it in a bank or invest it to keep it growing. Its essentially gas/fun/grocery money. Spending it is great and all, but how are you going to truly grow your wealth with this new windfall of cash, assuming the fed doesn't legalize things?

Just got off the phone with my buddy. He had some cautions. If there is a move at the federal level to decriminalize or even go recreational, the market will drop big time. If a person was to invest, make sure it’s with a big enough operation to weather that and that has a long term business model just for dealing with the possibility.
Yep, I recently pondered a grow operation and this came to mind early on. Its a timing game and one I have no control over so I'm not doing it.

This is what I'm finding with some research. I was doing the numbers on a grow operation with 300 plants, 3 grows a year and it shows a gross income of $1.2 mil. Even if I am half wrong...

I was thinking build a nice greanhouse with fence security cameras and dogs outside, grow 2 years and keep good records. After the second year hopefully showing a 2.2 mil gross income in 2 years, the greenhouse grow is now for sale for $5 mill and I am done working.

Actually @HoLeChit has a point. You can’t legally put that cash in the bank. It’s great that it’s stacking up or it’s available for whatever you want to buy. But...
