You pour a little coffee into the saucer to let it cool, then you drink from the saucer. My folks was so po, they didn't even know what a saucer was.
Edit: It's a little plate that hifallutin people put under their cup.
Coffee was served that was as a means to let it cool faster. It was often almost boiling the way it was made then. The saucer was more like a small bowl.
Mr. Coffee machines limit it to a lesser temperature.

My arm is definitely more sore this morning.
I only had a sore shoulder for 1 day after covid vaccine. Site reaction was less than the flu shot, which for me has always been a sore shoulder for 2-3 days. And both less than the dreaded tetanus booster... ouch
This is definitely not any worse than after the flu shot . . . it's been a few years since my last tetanus booster.

I think there are. The virus was man made and spread at the perfect time to steal the election from Trump or it was just an accident. Either way Democrats never waste a tragedy and demanded mail in voting because it was safer . Then in mostly Democratic states and large cities ran by them ,they had lock downs. So this makes the Trump economy look bad and helps to set the stage for voter fraud. Then when we have the election Trump starts winning by a landslide and the Left ( Democrats) are caught off guard and get sloppy. They get filmed shutting down poles early and stuffing ballots from suitcases into the voting machines. They get filmed covering up the windows so Republican observers can’t see what is going on. Later it is found out that voting machines have software from China in them converting votes for Biden. No wonder Biden hardly campaigned , he knew the fix was in. Biden and his crackhead son flew AF2 to China in the past and junior ends up with a high paying job in a field he knows nothing about. A little off track but, an example of the rich and powerful with ties to China. Junior helped China with a deal in Africa where they now have control of half the world’s cobalt supply. Cobalt is needed to make batteries like a bunch of our high tech weapons use. People like Obama, Bidens, the Clintons, and Soros seem to do anything they want with no consequences. These evil people are so good at taking away your rights and do it at such a slow pace most people don’t realize it. Did the people in NY ever think the size of a soft drink would be regulated. Did anyone think the government would force you to buy health care insurance ? Today in many states you can be arrested for having a high capacity gun mag. God is kicked out of schools and the Muslim faith is welcomed in. You can be fined or arrested for not wearing the mask in some cities. Then there is the gun control issue. The rich and powerful have their armed security to protect them but, could care less about you. I didn’t make up any of these events and don’t remember where I got all this info. This is my opinion based on news shows and various media. I’m now going to waste time arguing about it. I don’t think there are people that want to take away yours rights. I know there are people that plan to.
I am so accident prone I manage to have to take that damned tetanus shot every 5 years ... Doc says "Well they usually say not for a few more but that's a nasty "whatever" and you DO have that barnyard in your backyard so better safe than sorry.
And I've always taken the flu shot. The closest I'd ever been to thinking I might die was when I caught the flu one year. Well until recently ... Lol ... But my doc says wait so I will wait.
