I have been trying to find a comfortable belt for a couple of years now because my meds make me gain or lose weight so fast and half the time my gut is overhanging my belt. The buckle digs into it. I had been trying a web type belt I found at Walmart that you could buckle at any point but the quality sucked.

Then I remembered the roller buckle belts that were issued when I was in the service. Small buckle, easy adjust to a perfect fit. I looked for some real military surplus but did not find any place that had them in stock, but I did find some with that type belt. I ordered a couple and so far they are great. I can adjust as required and does not dig in nearly as much.

If you are a plush guy like me and have problems finding a comfortable belt, they just might be what you need.

You didn't say whether or not you need to support a pistol or not on your belt. If so, those flimsy belts will only cause more problems. If you do plan on mounting a pistol and spare mag...uh...you DO carry a spare mag...don't you? If you plan on holstering up, Wilderness is a good belt. That's the only belts I wear nowadays. Yeah, they are a bit on the pricey side, but they last for years and years AND they are American made. :patriot: I just ordered a new one. The last time I ordered one was probably 8 or 9 years ago.

Here's a suggestion. Like you, I'm a bit pudgy as well (6'2"/450lbs) and when I am off duty, I live in my beloved Key overalls. Ultimate comfort!

If you wear a size 56, I'll send you an old one of mine and you can try it out before you drop 70 bucks on one.

Good luck with your search. :thumb:

When I do carry I wear a second belt or suspenders.

Put the buckle to the side . Those roller belts come loose and I end up sagging like the homies. The best belt I've found is the German style. Quick to adjust and do not let out .

I have never had a problem with a roller belt coming loose, but I tape down the teeth part with black electrical tape and give the roller part a little extra tug to lock it in place.

Cintas uniform company has belts that are NO buckle mechanics belts.
If you know someone that gets uniforms from them they could get you a belt.
You can get them elsewhere also.
Some call it a English Bridle mechanics belt.

I hate belts with buckles as I am always bending over or crawling under cars and around exhaust and drive shafts.

I have a little ‘dunlop’ disease myself. I buy rounded buckles vs the square ones. The square ones dig into my belly when driving.

Can you buy Key overalls anywhere here in OK or are they just on-line only?
Dunno about Key overalls, but I buy my Okie-made Round House overalls at Atwood's.

Myself, I like the ratcheting belts. SlideBelts ( https://www.slidebelts.com/ ) makes some nice ones (including one with "survival tools" built into the buckle), but if your waist size is bigger than 44", you're out of luck with them. I usually get the Marino brand belts from Amazon ( https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0104PTX1M/ ).

If you have anyone that does saddlery nearby they could probably make you something pretty good. Mock Brothers Saddlery which is just West of Sand Springs built me a belt that's basically just a long straight leather stirrup strap. They charged me $38 and it’s lasted me more than a decade.
