Not talking about what you take in. Mask help most with what you expel. My docs all say that even a cloth mask will help catch droplets you sneeze or cough out. This is important because a lot of people get infected and do not show symptoms for awhile, but may still sneeze and cough. I know nothing short of a full hazmat suit is 100% effective at protecting you but containing as much of it as possible to the infected protects us all. That is why I wear a mask. My lung condition means I do cough a lot and I refuse to spread anything I might get to others.

And I was not meaning to conflate you pointing out hypocrisy, just stating a fact. Many docs say almost any mask helps.

Well! The Doctors of course are going to tell you that crap. Look at the Doctors who have spoken positively about Hydroxichloriquine
and been threatened with malpractice and loss of license.
The Nazi Gestapo Doctor police keep them in line.

For me, using a mask is a common sense thing. Does it work 100%? Probably not...but not much out there does. It's like smoking...we didn't need scientists to tell us that inhaling smoke into your lungs isn't a good idea...it's COMMON SENSE. This is the best video that I have seen that illustrates the common sense aspect of it. And to all those that are "sticking it to the man!" by refusing to wear a mask....well, I'm going to save my breath.

Masks provide some protection for you and more importantly for others in the event you might be a spreader. There I said it - I think this is an unspoken part of what makes masks so contentious.....you might be a spreader of illness. Something like bad breath only worse.

I wish it were less contentious and we all admitted that most people have good reasons for wearing masks and some for not wearing masks. Judge not. Don't harass people without masks...that's uncouth, they might have asthma or other problems. Take care not to imply that those on the other side of the issue are dumb. Tolerance of others is needed lest we get a mask civil war started.

I wear a mask out of respect for others that think I’m saving their life. That being said, I saw the infectious disease nurse from one of the larger hospitals at WM with no mask on.

My chiropractor doesn't believe in the lies
Doctor's office out here in Choctaw tried that right there. County Health Department got wind of it and came out. Gave him 24 hours to comply with the mask rules or he was going to be shut down. Guess who got their act together. When it comes to making money we've all had to do things we didn't like or believe in huh.
