I'd be more worried about covering my own... situation.

And it does indeed seem to be murky territory. If it's ever classified as a shotgun, then the 18" barrel rule will apply.

Just my 2¢ ... :drunk2:
Mac, we're going with the idea that plenty of these have already been transferred in the state. From what I'm able to understand (and, admittedly, that ain't much) these things have been selling like the proverbial hot cakes. Thanks, though, for your input.:D

I'm still taking a wait and see attitude as far as stocking them in my business. I would rather hear something definitive from Oklahoma, but looks like that ain't happening.
I agree that nothing is going to happen anytime soon when it comes to our Legislator addressing this situation. I would bet though that there are a lot more 'Shockwaves' and 'Tac-14's' being bought than anyone is willing to [understandably] admit to. I certainly wouldn't admit to having one, even if I did :hellno:

From my research and that of another LEO, it's is considered by OK statute to be a sawed off shotgun. From what I've been told, only a AG ruling could make it legal. I've also been told that Mossberg has sent emails to LEO's asking for their interpretation. There's been a lot of them sold in OK and I know of LEOs who own them. :bye: I'm eager to see how this plays out.

Frankly, I think people are overreacting in a big way.

(1)FFL's can and do transfer this firearm in Oklahoma and have in very large numbers.
(2)They can do so because no tax stamp is required and it is classified as a "firearm", not a shotgun which makes Oklahoma law about sawed off shotguns irrelevant.

Don't go bragging to a cop you have one.
Don't carry it in your vehicle until they pass a law legalizing it, which they will.

Just buy one and enjoy yourself. I will once someone has them back in stock.
