The question of its legality is very murky. A number of them have already been sold in Oklahoma. I do appreciate your answer.I'm not selling it barring the state attorney general ruling it's ok the current statute says transferring it is a felony

Do you call NICS, or do you use the EZ Check system online? We still call, and I was told there were only three possible answers for this question (asked by the NICS examiner): "Type of transaction and firearm?" The three answers are: "Sale of handgun", "Sale of long gun", or "Private sale."Other is accepted on NICS today for receivers, frame etc is their wording

"Sale of long gun". Again, the above is what a NICS examiner told me some months back. We were doing a check on a transfer of a stripped lower, in fact, and I said, "Other". I was then told that that was not an acceptable answer, and the three "acceptable" answers were told to me. Who knows? All of this may have changed.... We're sticking to the three "acceptable" answers until we hear something different (and definitive). That's odd. Well then, how would you answer then when selling a stripped lower receiver ?
Really odd, because a stripped lower adheres to rules similar to handgun, IE: can't transfer to anyone under age of 21....... At least, Im pretty sure that's correct. I believe it would be neither. You should probably check "Other" which is basically for firearms that are neither handguns or long guns- such as PGO shotguns, frames, receivers, lowers)
You're not hijacking the thread at all. I really don't know about the stripped lower being classed similar to a handgun. As I'm sure you're aware, BATF rules are not always the clearest things written. The Shockwave ships with a label about not transferring to anyone under 21.Really odd, because a stripped lower adheres to rules similar to handgun, IE: can't transfer to anyone under age of 21.......
