Those wages are quickly escalating in this economic time. If your company is only paying $30 with mediocre benefits then you’re soon to start losing those welders. I’m seeing companies starting to pay in excess of $38-40/hr in Tulsa for code welders.
Oilfield can go anywhere from $75/hr to several hundred an hour depending on who’s contracting you and what expenses you’re willing to take on yourself.
Great time to be a welder!
