Can't see the thumb safety but it should be engaged and a round in the chamber? I'm not a fan of thumb breaks but most of those holsters are designed for the thumb break to engage only if the hammer is cocked.
If the strap overcocks the hammer, it’s actually taking the sear nose out of contact with the hammer hooks. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with it, I just would rather not have that engagement open and amp point other than the firing cycle
Yes and I wish my Shield could be carried that way. I just can not feel comfortable with a striker fired pistol after so many years of revolvers, DA pistols and 1911s. I would trade it in a heartbeat for a small 9 that could be carried cocked and locked. Even a Star BK or BKM. Just something about it feels safer to me.
