1911 Mag Preferences.

Wanted to see how everyone's preferences ran when it comes to 1911 mags. The Colt 1911 I was given came with a factory Colt magazine, and a no name magazine. I was later given a Springfield magazine, and I bought two Chip McCormick Shooting Star 8 round mags. I had jams with all of them, the CMC's were the best, but would consistently jam on the last round. I picked up three Tripp Research Super 7 upgrade kits. The CMC's have run flawlessly since, and the Springfield mag, with the upgrade kit has had one jam, albeit on a frigid morning while deer hunting.

Planning to pick up some more mags, but was just going to see what people use and prefer. Leaning towards Tripp Research mags, or Wilson Combat.

I use Checkmate mags in mine and haven't had any issues.

Tripp Research Cobra Mags and Wilson 47D or ETM's, depending on whats in stock, are the only mags I will buy.

I don't own a kimber but my kimpro magazines have been flawless and I got a killer deal on them as well.

I havent had a 1911 in years but i used the CMC shooting star mags.

Wilson, never tried Tripp, but want to.

Wilson 47Ds is what I have been using. I like them very much. I have been wanting to try the Wilson EMTs and the Tripps. I have never found a bad review for either on the net.

i have Chip McCormick, Nighthawk Colt & Kimber only the colt gives issues, i need a few more and was wondering also what ever body buy's & use's
