Hi. I would appreciate anyone steering me to a good auto electrician. My van has wiring issues and it's getting no fuel. Would like to know how to test the fuel pump to make sure it's the problem before dropping the tank to replace it.

can you cut a hole in the floor of the van to make an access panel to get to that pump.

I had a 1994 Dodge 3/4 ton truck found out NO fuel filter other than what was in the tank on the pump.
So could be dirty filter in tank.
I raised my bed in the front to get to my pump and filter.

Not happening in a van though.
Tin snips cut holes pretty good as does a hammer and wood chisel.

I hate dropping fuel tanks.
Many of my vehicles had easy access and many more had drain plugs in the tank.

Is it getting fire from the ignition? Last summer my Durango quit and I thought it was the fuel pump so I dropped the tank and put a new one in, well I didn't bother to check if it had fire so it still didn't run. Turns out it was the computer.

If I put gas directly in the carb it fires up. That's why I suspect the fuel pump or filter. I just would like to be able to test it to make sure it needs replacing. Does anyone have a DRB II scanner?
