2019 Deer Hunting

I am going to have to get better and get someone to teach me to hunt. Only things I have ever killed was a feral hog, a rabid skunk and the occasional rabbit in my garden when I lived out south of Wellston.


Make that 3 hogs. Got another senior moment going on.

My boy got a nice buck on opening morning of rifle but took him with a crossbow. The deer have been moving like crazy. I switched stands that morning because I really wanted to hunt the stand he was going to be in and man am I glad I did. I would have been happy to harvest that buck but it’s so much better my son got to do it.

Good friend and college buddy called me. His son wanted to hunt. I got them set up with a popup,orange,guns,corn,camera etc. They shoot but don’t hunt. They lost all the family rifles in a burglary last year. best of luck to them
