The Salt Fork is still high rolling through my place, and my son made the comment a couple days ago that he bet the deer wouldn’t swim it at that level. Well, I was sitting in the stand yesterday afternoon watching a couple deer at the feeder and heard a big splash right across the river. There was more splashing, and then I see two young bucks climbing up the south bank in front of me dripping wet. So I guess the high, fast moving water isn’t a deterrent if there’s a corn and protein feeder on the other side.
