I've been tempted to do it while deer hunting, but never have. Same with coyotes on occasion. Depending on the circumstances, a coyote may, or may not, get a pass. Some of the easiest, best shots I could have had on bobcats were during deer season. Alas, it was always too early.
I passed on a bobcat yesterday evening, but it had nothing to do with the legality. On hind sight, I wish I would’ve shot it for the good of my quail and turkey populations.

Got old extra drop spike this morning looking toward his scrape about 150yds away. not bad for around here in the SE. 3rd Best buck of my 59yrs life so I am happy for this year. 2nd picture show a good look at the crazy extra eye putter outer looking forward.

7 point, 150lbs dressed off public land outside of Hominy. 223 55gr V-Max. Hit him good about 40 yards away but he slowly trotted off acting like I missed & he wasn't that scared of the shot then stood there for 15 seconds before falling over

He's no monster but I'm proud of him all the same especially since other guys came in and sat less than 150 yards from me
