@dbradshaw 12 ga, 2 3/4", steel #3's with an extended Carlson's LM stainless choke have always performed well in my 44 year old Browning A5.
Shell brand name wise I'm not real picky, I've got some older Activ's and Winchesters plus some newer Fasteel 2.0.......shot some of all three last season and they all brought down ducks.

I had a surprising day on public land yesterday and did fairly well. I figured with the 60 temps and sunny sky it would be a bust, glad I was wrong.
