Slow here in central ok
Only dinks on camera last night and this morning
Decided to shoot a big doe and then just continue sitting.
Just as soon as i killed a doe, i got my cell phone picts from my other place, where i almost hunted. wouldn't you know it my shooter buck showed up at 930a, again, at 11:30am-1pm with a doe he wasn't leaving, and then two other 2-1/2 years old, from noon - 2pm. I quickly realizing what was happening i went and got into that stand, spooked two bucks walking in, and only saw a spike from 2pm-6pm... way it goes.
clearly she was ready... He has been MIA since.

Hunted this morning in a new spot away from the feeders and had a doe, 3 yearlings and 2 spikes all come by. All between 8-9am. Saw another deer off in the thick woods but couldn’t verify for sure what it was. I think a mature doe. That was about 10am.

They were definitely moving today for me in central Oklahoma.

Well, making myself sit in the stand 30 more minutes paid off this morning here in east TX. Yesterday was the first real cool weather we’ve had down here, and the deer finally started to move pretty good. I saw 5 bucks and 6 does yesterday morning and even passed on a buck for the second time that I thought from pictures I would shoot. Evenings have been dead, so I didn’t drive the 20 miles back to that spot yesterday evening. I didn’t see the first deer either morning until after 8. I had to pee this morning at about 9 but told myself I was going to stay until 9:30, but after seeing a few more deer moving, I decided at 9:30 to stay until 10 even though my bladder was screaming at me. I had turned my ground blind to give me a better view of the lane the feeder is on and the woods behind it, but I still had a good view of the north/south lane. At about 9:40, I saw movement as far down the north/south lane as I could see, so I eased around with my binos and saw what appeared to be a decent buck. I got my rifle up and scope on him as he was beating the crap out a bush and making a scrape. I could see his vitals but had to shoot through the V of a tree that was between us. When I shot, he disappeared, and I knew I didn’t miss but didn’t see him run off either. I normally wait a little while before going after a deer if I don’t see it go down, but I went to look for blood immediately. It turns out he was farther than I thought and on the backside of a little rise, but he evidently dropped in his tracks. He ended up being just shy of 150 yards. I thought he was a buck I got one picture of on November 6th, but after examining all my pictures, I don’t think I’ve seen him before.
He’s not my best east TX buck, but he’s definitely my best east TX 8 point.
