Yeah I am quite familiar with Ruger and fitting a cylinder. The unfluted cyl from my 7 1/2" Bisley Blackhawk works awesome in my Bisley Vaquero but the fluted Vaquero cyl needs shimmed to work in the Bisley BH.As I recall Ruger matches the cylinders to the gun at the factory (timing and barrel gap both require fitting). It's not a drop in thing if you want it to preform correctly. Don't expect to buy one second hand and have a plug and play cylinder.
