+ 1 for the Rain-x latitudes. They are worth every penny for my Tahoe. Don't remember what they cost but they don't catch air and they don't squeak in a light rain.

I work for Subaru and one model, the tribeca, the driver's side blade is $50 while the passenger is $40. But we do sell refills for those at no more than $10 a side.

So many people want to think badly of dealerships that they hear that a wiper blade is $50 and stop listening right there. They never gain an understanding that the refill, which is tailor made for your car and the curve of your windshield, is just as cheap as the crappy generic stuff they get at Wal*Mart.

Anybody can walk into an auto parts store and spend $25-30 or maybe a little more per wiper blade. Some vehicles will need 3 of these so I dont think $60 for wiper blades is too far out of round. Sure there might be cheaper options but for the good blades that sounds about right.

If she got the Bosch Icon (which usually run $40-60 a set), they're totally worth it. They're about the only wipers worth buying the whole thing instead of just the refill.

That will teach you to open your big mouth. LOL. Once at a now closed Ford Dealer, I was having my oil changed. They came up and said my wipers were bad. They then asked if I wanted them changed. I said yes. The bill was $150 for an oil change and 2 wiper blades. When asked they said they had a 1 hour minimum. Yes I learned. Just like you. Just be glad it was not as expensive as mine.
