from what i've read, 80% lowers can be sold without a serial number, you just can't go into business of selling them or selling a lot of them. They have to conform to all current gun laws too. IOW you can't make a full auto out of an 80% lower because the manufacture of a full auto for civilian use is illegal. Same thing with sbr. I was looking into doing one, but the cost of machining and getting them anodized is more than a serialized lower. Plus you have to buy a jig and the machine marks aren't going to be as clean unless you have a really nice machine to do it on. But a drill press won't look as nice as an already finished lower.

It's like making your own gun from scratch. You can do it as long as it conforms to all current gun laws.

We do not register guns in Oklahoma, especially "other" which is the catagory of a lower.
We do have to run a 4473 but that is just a background check to see if you have any fellony convictions or warrants out for you.
That said,,,If you buy more than 2 pistols in 5 days or less from the same dealer then we have to report it to the feds.

IF we registered guns then that unfired bullet casing that came with your new gun would have to be turned in.

Not long enough. Open your eyes.

I see in the first sentence

For your information, per provisions of the Gun Control Act (GCA) of 1968, 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44, an unlicensed individual may make a “firearm” as defined in the GCA for his own personal use,................. but not for sale or distribution................

5845 on machine guns,

922 compliance on foreign parts,

and a neet bit on full auto glocks

Nothing in there to prove me wrong.

OK, don't read the whole thing, and keep spreading misinformation.

It's about intent. If you don't believe me, or the ATF publications, call the OKC branch and ask.

Or better yet, post something that says what you believe to be true.
