I had that problem with a newer 870, sports world polished the chamber and now it ejects low brass or aluminum shells every time.

Same noon, three, six and nine o'clock measurements on the thickness as well.

Yep. Well we ran another box of #8's through it today. The front sight really needed that coat of bright orange finger nail polish! Shot a handful of 00's through it as well. Dang, I wished I had bought a dozen of them. I would have tossed em behind every feed truck seat, barn guns etc. Oh well!
