Only 4,000 rounds per firearm, actually within what many preppers state you should have (1000 to 5000 rds per firearm.) Quite an investment to have confiscated. In an apocalypse this gentleman would be the wealthiest man in town.
My thoughts as well on rounds per weapon. I’d aspire to something like that number for the Semi long guns - may never get there at these prices but 5k would be an aspiration.

Depends on several factors actually:

1) The size of the deer (a 10,000 lb deer may require more rounds to put it down)?
2) The size of the round? .17 HMR is not a good deer round...
3) Is the deer hopped up on meth or pcp, or is it rabid?
4) Is the deer wearing armor?
5) Is it a cyber deer or other DARPA or Military project?

So, it may require more than 10 rds, or if one is just a bad shot...
I don't always shoot 10,000lb deer,
but when I do,
I always choose Barrett M107A1 50BMG API or Raufous for the one round'n'down....
